“Being a strong, powerful woman doesn’t mean you have to be tough, overworked and unattractive.”
“Women could truly benefit from finding a more inspiring word than “feminism” to stand by, as well as stand for, when seeking to become our most powerful and successful selves…
With this in mind, I’d like to put forth that starting today, the word “feminism” be updated to become the new word “feminine-ism.”What!? Why can’t we just work to change the negative connotations the word feminist has? And all women are supposed to fit the “feminine” ideal? Well, we don’t. I am by no means a stereotypical “bulldagger femi-nazi”: I’m delicately built and have more legs than a bucket of chicken- but I am not 100% feminine. I am crass, sexually aggressive, have short hair, and on occasion, I lust for women. I do not wish to get married, have children, or wear dresses all of the time, although when I do sometimes, I feel pretty. But I also feel just as pretty in cut-off shorts and a boy’s baseball shirt. I am still a feminist. I am still a woman.
jessica, my reblog loves your reblog. they’d make-out in cut off shorts and baseball shirts any day.
