i’d go with a cockerpoo :)
they are easy to train and perfect family pets. schnauzers, whilst i’m sure they can make lovely family pets too, they are more difficult to train because they are strong willed. i remember reading that they need a lot of socialization otherwise they can develop behavioural problems.
i wanted a schnauzer, a mini one, i looked into them a lot.
what about a scottie? ;)
